TheMaxx Timberwolf Forestry Tree Shears for Skid Steers are built for high-production tree cutting, land clearing, forestry work, right-of-way maintenance, and property cleanup. Available in14" and 16" cutting capacities, Timberwolf Tree Shears are offered in bothgrapple tree shear andbunching tree shear configurations.
Sharp3/4" AR400 milled knife edges deliver aggressive cutting performance, while the heavy-duty hydraulic system is designed for fast cycle times and strong shearing force.
Choose the model that best matches your machine and tree size.
The14" Timberwolf Tree Shears use solid cast shear arms and require a minimum machine operating capacity of3,000 lbs.
The larger16" Timberwolf Tree Shears use high-strengthA572 fabricated shear arms and require a minimum machine operating capacity of3,400 lbs.
Both sizes operate with15–30 GPM hydraulic flow and up to3,000 PSI.
Timberwolf Tree Shears are available in two configurations.
The grapple models usedual grapple arms to secure the tree before cutting. This provides control over the tree during the shearing process and makes the attachment useful for cutting, holding, and moving individual trees.
The bunching models add anaccumulator arm. This allows the operator to cut one tree, hold it with the accumulator, and continue cutting additional trees before placing the group.
For high-production forestry and clearing work, the bunching configuration can significantly reduce handling time.
The Maxx Timberwolf hydraulic system useslarger hydraulic lines, reduced pressure loss, and a larger shear-cylinder rod diameter.
Hydraulic hoses are routed internally to protect them from branches, logs, and debris during tree-cutting operations.
The improved system is engineered to provide a33% increase in shear speed, helping operators complete more cuts in less time.
The Timberwolf features an improved hydraulic cylinder with a5" barrel and 3" rod.
Combined with the engineered frame and shear-arm structure, the larger cylinder is designed to generate strong shearing force for cutting hardwood, softwood, brush, and standing trees.
Every Timberwolf uses3/4" AR400 high-tensile steel shear blades with precision-milled knife edges.
The blade adjustment and stop mechanism is designed to simplify blade setup and replacement. When properly maintained, Maxx states that the shear blade can provide up to2,500 hours of service life.

The Timberwolf is a strong choice for:
For operators primarily cutting individual trees, theGrapple Tree Shear offers a simple and effective combination of cutting and holding capability.
For higher-production work, theBunching Tree Shear adds an accumulator arm that allows the operator to hold previously cut trees while making additional cuts.
If you are searching for askid steer tree shear, feller buncher attachment, forestry tree shear, 14-inch tree shear, 16-inch tree shear, hydraulic tree cutter, land clearing attachment, or skid steer forestry attachment, the Maxx Timberwolf lineup provides heavy-duty options designed for professional tree cutting and harvesting.
