Replacement Coated Polycarbonate Windshields

Upgrade your skid steer with a coated polycarbonate windshield. Engineered to replace the OEM windshield while delivering durability, performance and superior safety. Polycarbonate is up to 260 times stronger than glass to create that safety barrier. At the same time polycarbonate is 1/2 the weight, better at temperature regulation, increases light transmittance, and reduces operator noise. The special coating is applied to both sides of the windshield. The coating is resistant to abrasion, scratches, solvent and chemicals. In addition it also allows for wiper use.

Case and New Holland Windshields  – Skid Steer (Polycarbonate)

Replacement windshield is offered in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2"  Polycarbonate and is a direct drop-in replacement, Requiring no additional hardware.

Polycarbonate Education Note

Polycarbonate is often referred to as Lexan® or Makrolon® (brand names). It is sometimes confused with plexiglass, which is acrylic and not impact-rated like polycarbonate. Other terms such as “safety glass” or “demo doors” may also be used. Understanding material differences is critical when choosing the right windshield for your machine. Below is a polycarbonate gauge guide.

POLYCARBONATE GAUGE APPLICATION
1/4" POLYCARBONATE GENERAL USE
3/8" POLYCARBONATE GENERAL USE - Grass mowing, General contracting, Material handling, (NOT FOR: Demolition, Brush Cutters or Mulching)
1/2" POLYCARBONATE SAFETY GLASS - Demolition, Brush Cutting, Mulching, Forestry, Ground Clearing, Tree Shears

Tint Disclaimer

Tinted windows feature 50% Light Transmission (LTM) with tint embedded directly in the material.
⚠️ Do not apply aftermarket tint, decals, or films. The coating resists adhesives, which can cause films to peel. The coating protects against abrasion from wipers, cleaning, brush, and debris.

If you are not sure how to install windshields please consult a mechanic or glass fitter.

  • Replacement windows are drop fit. They install the same way the OEM glass window is installed.
  • When possible use factory installed hardware and / or gaskets
  • Do not overtighten hardware
  • Bonded windows - Bonding with urethane can only be achieved if the window is milled or/or fritted.Urethane will not permanently bond to the coating on the windshield. It will only bond to the milled areas of the windshield.
  • RT silicone is only to be used as a weather proofing measure. RTV silicone can not be used to permanently bond to the cab frame.
  • Do not use any other adhesives or "lock tight" chemicals. The use of these chemicals in holes and edges (that are not coated) will attack the polycarbonate.
  • Any use of no-recommended chemicals, adhesives or fabrication to the window will immediately void any or all warranty claims.

CARE & MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

The UV and Abrasion Resistant surface coating on the polycarbonate windshield significantly improves performance. Periodic cleaning using proper procedures and compatible cleaners are recommended to prolong service life.

CLEANING THE WINDSHIELD

  1. Wash with a mild solution of soap or detergent and lukewarm water.
  2. Using a soft cloth or sponge, gently wash the sheet to loosen dirt and grime and rinse well with clean water.
  3. To prevent water spotting, thoroughly dry with chamois or cellulose sponge.
  4. Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners, squeegees and/or other cleaning implements that may mar or gouge the coating.

IMPORTANT: If a material is found to be incompatible in a short-term test, it will usually be found to be incompatible in the field. The converse, however, is not always true. Favorable performance is no guarantee
that actual end-use conditions have been duplicated. Therefore, these results should be used as a guide only
and it is recommended that the user test the products under actual end-use condition.
