1/2" Polycarbonate Bobcat Front Door

The front door is manufactured from 1/2" thick polycarbonate, providing excellent impact resistance compared with conventional glass.

Polycarbonate is particularly useful for operators working around brush, wood chips, sticks, and other flying debris because it does not shatter in the same manner as tempered glass.

The door also includes an OEM-style locking handle, weather sealing, mounting hardware, and the necessary components for installation.

Polycarbonate Side Window Panels

These laser-cut polycarbonate panels help block wind, rain, snow, and debris while maintaining operator visibility.

The side panels are considerably thinner than the 1/2" front door, so extra care should be taken during installation. Do not overtighten the mounting hardware, as excessive pressure can damage the polycarbonate.

Important Installation Information

This is a complete aftermarket Bobcat cab retrofit, not an OEM Bobcat cab.

Existing doors, frames, hinges, thresholds, or other aftermarket cab components may need to be removed before installation.

Some fitting and installation work may be required.

Do not drill, weld, or otherwise modify the machine's ROPS/OROPS structure. The rollover protective structure is a certified safety component. Altering it can affect its certification and may create safety, resale, or trade-in concerns.

When mounting the side panels, appropriate brackets and washers may be needed to use existing mounting locations without modifying the protective structure.

This is a good economical cab enclosure for the money, but buyers need to understand what they're getting.

It's definitely a step up from a vinyl skid steer cab enclosure and can be a practical way to get out of the wind, rain, and snow. However, I would not compare it to a factory Bobcat OEM cab.

Here are the things I would want to know before buying one:

The front door is polycarbonate—not tempered glass. That's actually an advantage when impact resistance is important because polycarbonate won't shatter like conventional tempered glass.

The side windows are thin. They do the job, but be careful during installation. Don't use an impact gun or over tighten the bolts because you can damage the panels.

Side-panel installation can take some work. Do not start drilling holes into the machine's ROPS/OROPS structure to make the panels fit. We were able to make the installation work using brackets and oversized washers without altering the protective structure.

The weather sealing could be better. Depending on fitment, you may notice a small gap around portions of the door. Don't expect this aftermarket enclosure to seal exactly like a factory cab.

The front door does not use a support cylinder. Be careful opening and closing the door because allowing it to slam against the machine could shorten the life of the door or hardware.

Finally, while the 1/2" polycarbonate door provides substantial impact resistance, don't assume that automatically makes it a certified forestry or demolition safety door. Unless specific testing and certification documentation is provided for your application, I would not advertise or rely on it as a certified forestry protection system.

Bottom line: If you're looking for an affordable way to enclose your Bobcat and get out of the weather, this kit makes sense. Just understand that you're buying an aftermarket polycarbonate cab enclosure—not an OEM Bobcat cab.
