Virnig V60 V-Snow Blade Attachment

The Virnig V60 V-Snow Blade is a heavy-duty, hydraulically controlled snow plow attachment built for skid steers that demand maximum versatility and performance. Designed to handle loaders with more than 1,500 lbs rated operating capacity, the V60 allows operators to quickly adapt to changing snow conditions by switching between V-plow, scoop, straight, and angled blade positions.

A floating frame link keeps the blade in constant contact with the ground, delivering a cleaner scrape on uneven or crowned surfaces. For added protection, the trip edge with compression springs and hydraulic crossover relief absorbs impact when obstacles are encountered, reducing stress on both the attachment and the machine.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Multiple blade configurations: V, scoop, straight, or angle

  • 31″ blade height for improved snow containment

  • Floating frame design maintains consistent ground contact

  • Side-to-side oscillation for effective plowing on uneven terrain

  • Trip edge with compression springs for obstacle protection

  • Hydraulic crossover relief valves help prevent damage from impacts

  • Replaceable bolt-on cutting edges (steel or optional poly)

  • Adjustable skid shoes for surface control

  • NitroSteel® cylinder rods resist corrosion, dents, and flaking

  • Universal skid steer mounting

  • Includes hoses, couplers, and fittings

V-Snow Blade Review: Power, Precision, and Versatility in One Attachment

After putting the V-Snow Blade through real-world snow removal tests, it’s clear why this attachment is one of the most versatile tools for winter work.

      Performance & Speed:
The blade keeps up with the machine’s full speed, clearing snow efficiently and saving serious time. The ability to angle and shape snow paths makes it far more dynamic than a standard straight or angle blade.

      Stacking Power:
One of the standout features is its ability to stack snow higher and tighter than pushers or buckets — perfect for maximizing space during heavy snowfall.

      Versatility:
With multiple configurations (V, scoop, straight, and angle), this blade adapts to any jobsite. The scoop and V positions are especially handy for moving and controlling deep snow with precision.

      Smooth Operation:
The rigid moldboard and trip edge help prevent plowing interruptions, while the side-to-side oscillation ensures a clean scrape even over uneven surfaces. Hydraulic angling makes it easy to adjust on the fly — no electrical components needed.

      Cons / Considerations:

      • Traction: May lose traction in deep snow.

      • Containment: Unless pin-on wings are added, the blade doesn’t hold much snow.

      • Complexity: More moving parts than snow pushers and buckets, increasing the chance of hydraulic issues.

      • Ground Sensitive: Best on hard surfaces like pavement or concrete; not ideal for loose gravel unless frozen or compacted.

      Final Verdict:
The V-Snow Blade is a top performer for operators who demand flexibility, control, and clean results. It’s not just a blade — it’s a productivity booster that handles everything from parking lots to tight driveways with ease.

Rating: 4.8 / 5 — Highly Recommended for Professional Snow Removal
