Heavy-Duty Mini Excavator Brush Cutter for Trees, Brush & Land Clearing

The X30 Mini Excavator Rotary Brush Cutter is a heavy-duty excavator brush cutter attachment designed to cut trees and woody vegetation up to 6 inches in diameter while reaching terrain that skid steers and conventional brush cutters cannot easily access.

Built for 15,000–26,000 lb. mini excavators and compact excavators, the X30 combines a 60-inch cutting width, direct-drive Eaton® hydraulic motor, three double-sided blades, and multiple hydraulic flow configurations for demanding land clearing, right-of-way maintenance, pond banks, hillsides, fence lines, ditches, and forestry cleanup.

With the excavator's boom and reach, operators can position the X30 rotary brush cutter over slopes, around obstacles, and into hard-to-reach vegetation while maintaining greater control over where the cutter works.

Cut Trees & Brush Up to 6 Inches

The X30 is more than a light-duty excavator mower. Its heavy-duty rotary cutting system is rated to cut trees and material up to 6 inches in diameter.

The 60-inch cutting width makes it productive for clearing larger areas while remaining maneuverable enough for selective vegetation removal.

No Case Drain Required

The X30 uses a direct-drive Eaton® hydraulic motor with relief valve protection and requires no case drain.

Eliminating the case drain can simplify hydraulic installation on compatible excavators while the direct-drive system efficiently transfers hydraulic power to the cutter.

Three hydraulic configurations are available to match different excavator auxiliary hydraulic systems:

20–28 GPM, 28–35 GPM, and 35–38 GPM.

270° Blade Engagement

One of the X30's standout features is its removable bolt-on front deck.

Removing the front deck provides up to 270 degrees of blade engagement, giving the cutting system increased access to trees, brush, and vegetation when working in demanding clearing conditions.

When additional containment is preferred, the front deck can remain installed.

Rounded Flywheel With Three Double-Sided Blades

The X30 Mini Excavator Rotary Brush Cutter uses a rounded flywheel equipped with three double-sided cutting blades.

The rounded design is built to help the flywheel bounce off stumps and obstacles rather than presenting a square edge directly to them. The three-blade configuration provides aggressive cutting performance for brush, saplings, and woody vegetation.

Serrated Rear Deck for Back Dragging & Grubbing

Clearing doesn't always stop after the vegetation has been cut.

A serrated rear deck allows the operator to use the attachment for back dragging brush and grubbing around stumps, adding another level of versatility to the cutter.

This makes the X30 useful for both cutting vegetation and cleaning up the area afterward.

Bolt-On Excavator Hanger System

The X30 features a bolt-on mounting interface designed to make changing excavator hanger brackets easier.

Various hanger brackets are available to fit many excavator brands and models. This allows the cutter to be configured for a wide range of mini excavators and compact excavators without building the attachment around one permanent hanger design.

Provide the excavator make, model, auxiliary hydraulic flow, operating pressure, and coupler information when ordering so the correct cutter configuration and hanger can be determined.

Standard Motor & Spindle Protection

Heavy brush and land-clearing environments can expose critical hydraulic and drivetrain components to limbs, rocks, and debris.

The X30 includes a motor guard and spindle guard as standard equipment, providing additional protection for these important components during demanding cutting applications.

Optional Side Curtains

The X30 can be configured with one or two bolt-on side curtains depending on the application.

The single side curtain installs on the left side and is designed to reduce debris thrown toward the operator.

For greater enclosure, two bolt-on side curtains can be installed to provide maximum debris containment around the cutter.

Optional Carbide Teeth

Optional carbide teeth can be added to help shred material and produce a more processed finish.

The carbide tooth option uses 18 teeth with an approximate total weight of 12 lbs.

For applications involving heavier vegetation and cleanup where reducing material size is important, the carbide tooth option adds another level of processing capability.

The combination of excavator reach and a heavy-duty rotary cutter makes the X30 particularly useful where conventional equipment has difficulty operating.

It can reach over banks, down slopes, into ditches, around ponds, along fence lines, and across uneven terrain while allowing the excavator to remain positioned on more suitable ground.

Important Carrier & Operator Requirements

The cutter must be properly matched to the excavator's hydraulic system and lifting capacity.

The excavator's lowest lift capacity at maximum reach, considering blade and boom orientation, must exceed the complete operating weight of the cutter, hanger, and installed options. Excavator lifting capacity can change based on arm length, counterweight, cab configuration, and machine setup.

Do not operate this rotary brush cutter on a machine without a shatterproof cab. Proper operator and bystander protection is required when operating a rotary cutter.
